Terms of Service

The rules of the road for using our website, products and services.

These terms govern your use of shockworks.com.au, operated by the trustee for the O’Brien Family Trust (ABN: 58 101 176 251), trading as Shockworks. By using this website, you agree to these terms. We may update them from time to time, and the current version will always be available here.

Services and quotes

We make every effort to describe our services accurately, but don’t warrant that descriptions, pricing, or availability are error-free. All prices are in AUD and include GST unless stated otherwise. Online ordering is not available on this website yet and is expected to open late 2026, so an order is placed with the workshop by enquiry or phone until then. A kit price shown on this website is the price of the kit, and we confirm it with you in writing before anything is built; where a price is shown as a range or marked indicative, such as bespoke work, the exact figure is confirmed with you first. We may correct pricing errors at any time. This doesn’t affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including in relation to misleading descriptions or pricing.

Ordering a kit and the build consultation

Online ordering is not available on this website yet and is expected to open late 2026. Until then an order starts with an enquiry or a call to the workshop, and we confirm the kit, the price and the payment arrangement with you before anything is built. The build consultation comes first: we go through your car, its setup and how you drive it, and confirm the valve code, spring rate and ride height before anything reaches the bench.

How that consultation affects your order:

  • We contact you on the details you give us when you enquire, and we keep at it. Nothing goes to the bench while we are still trying to reach you.
  • If the consultation points to a different spec, we tell you what it changes and what it costs. Any change is your call, and it is agreed before the build starts.
  • Nothing is built and nothing is charged until the spec and the price are confirmed with you.
  • Fitment, corner-weighting, alignment and freight sit outside the kit price and are quoted separately.

We want that conversation with every customer, and we would rather chase you for it than guess. These terms will be updated to cover online ordering when it opens. Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Your consumer rights

Our goods and services come with guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010) that cannot be excluded.

  • Goods, major failure: you can choose a refund or a replacement
  • Services, major failure: you can cancel and receive a refund for the unused portion, or compensation for the drop in value
  • Minor failure: you are entitled to have the problem rectified in a reasonable time
  • You may also be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Warranty and liability

Our products and services come with a warranty, and our liability is limited, as set out on our Warranty and Liability page. Please read it alongside these terms. Road-legal compliance of any modified vehicle is the owner’s responsibility.

Limitation of liability

Subject to your consumer rights above and to the maximum extent permitted by law: we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss from your use of this website. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us for the relevant product or service, or the cost of repairing, replacing or re-supplying it.

Nothing in this section limits or excludes any remedy you are entitled to under the Australian Consumer Law, including any refund or replacement of goods.
